Financial Aid consists of a variety of programs including grants, scholarships and loans. These programs may be funded through the Federal Student Aid programs, State aid, or though the College itself.

There are two broad categories of financial aid available– gift aid and self- help aid.

  • Gift aid is generally not repaid and typically consists of grants and scholarships.
  • Self-help aid requires something in return – working for a wage or repaying student loan funds. Self-help aid typically consists of work study and student loans.

Depending on your EFC (Expected Family Contribution), you may qualify for gift aid, self-help aid, or a combination of the two.

Please read your award notification carefully to determine which types of financial assistance you have qualified for. Also, be aware that we may need additional information from you in order to process your award.
